How to setup the Adobe Analytics Connector in Power BI Desktop

There are plenty of online resources that will guide you through the process of setting up the Adobe Analytics Connector in the Power BI Desktop. But you may run into some issues that none of the other guides address. For instance, the gray screen of death. This is an error that displays a blank grey screen. This will keep you from logging in and authorizing your Adobe ID. Let’s see how to get rid of the gray.

From the Home ribbon in Power BI Desktop, select Get Data. The Get Data dialog box will pop up. Select Online Services from the left menu. Then select Adobe Analytics from the right menu. Hit the Connect button when you’re finished.

A one-time authorization window for Adobe Analytics should pop up next. Insert your credentials and you should be ready to go! But it’s not always that easy. Sometimes the pop-up window will be blank.

To troubleshoot the blank window you’ll need to open your web browser and go to this link.

Log in with your Adobe ID credentials. The authorization page should appear next, where you will authorize the access. Once authorized, you can close the browser when you’ve reached a blank screen.

You can now go back to the Power BI Desktop and your newly authorized Adobe ID should work!
